Can you make good use of your summer with intensive Quran and Arabic courses?
Summer is often a time when students have more free time, and as we all know, time is an immense blessing about which we will all be questioned.
At Madinah Guide, we invite you to make good use of your time by coming to learn a language and a Book that you may, or may not, have neglected until now. It is the Book that was revealed to our Prophet alayhi salat wa salam, and it is also your mother tongue.
Yes, you read that correctly: your mother tongue.
But how could that be, if you were not born in an Arabic-speaking country and your family does not speak Arabic?
Professor Muhammad Hamidullah rahimahullah addressed this by reminding us that Allah calls the wives of the Prophet in the Quran "the mothers of the believers." All of those noble women, may Allah be pleased with them, spoke Arabic. In that sense, Arabic truly is your mother tongue.
That naturally leads to another question: why choose Madinah Guide rather than another institute?
1) Our team
The Madinah Guide team is made up of caring teachers and organizers. Our first objective is that you learn a great deal, feel well throughout the journey, and keep this trip in your memory as a very good experience.
We are here to push you further if you are hungry for knowledge and capable of sustained effort. We are also here to help you stay the course if it has been a long time since you studied and you sometimes feel discouraged. The team is present and does not leave students to manage on their own.
2) Organization
We pay close attention to making sure that everything runs smoothly, both in the classes and in the umrah and other activities.
Arabic classes involve homework outside lesson time. We are also finalizing a software platform called As-Sibawayh, which will give students a personal space where they can take exams, keep track of assignments, read additional texts, check their schedule, and more.
3) Who is the program for?
The program is open to all levels: from complete beginners who do not even know the alphabet to advanced students who want to refine their command of the language.
4) Knowledge of the rites
It is important to be accompanied in acts of worship by people who have a sound understanding of the rites. With Madinah Guide, you have the opportunity to be guided by teachers and students of knowledge who can answer your questions.
From experience, some people go through their umrah in a state of anxiety because they fear they may have done something incorrectly. For example, some repeat their ablution several times because of doubt, even though in fiqh a doubt does not outweigh certainty. As you can see, sound guidance during the rites is a real benefit.
5) For those who want to continue studying afterward
Whether your aim is the Islamic University of Madinah, Egypt, or somewhere else, we are able, inshaAllah, to guide you and help you move forward.
We can likely put you in touch with people who rent apartments or who have already gone abroad to study so they can answer your questions. It is also possible, when we see that a student is sincere, motivated, and of good character, for us to write a tazkiya for their application to the Islamic University of Madinah.
6) And after that?
Of course, even if you do not have the possibility, or even the desire, to study religion afterward, we remain in contact. Once you return to your country, questions in fiqh or other areas of religion will eventually come up. We will be there to answer them, inshaAllah.
In summary
Making good use of your summer to study the Quran and Arabic is not only possible, it may be one of the best investments you can make when you finally have time. With a serious framework, present teachers, and real human support, that time can become a genuine turning point in your journey.
